I am an academician with around twenty years of teaching experience, an active translator and a researcher. At present I am working as an Assistant Professor of English at Dolat-Usha Institute of Applied Sciences and Dhiru-Sarla Institute of Management & Commerce, Valsad. I have completed my Ph. D from Department of English, The M. S. University of Baroda, Vadodara. I have attended many National and International Seminars and presented research papers. Many of my research papers have been published in UGC approved CARE listed and peer reviewed journals. Two of my papers have been published in edited books with ISBN number. I translate fiction and poetry from Gujarati into English which have been published in many National and International journals like Indian Literature, Sahityasetu, Translation Today as well as Chandrabhaga – one of the pioneer journals of English language and literature edited by a renowned Indian-English author Shri Jayanta Mahapatra. One of my translated short-story has been published in an anthology titled Redolent Rush: contemporary Indian short fiction in translation published by Hawakal Publishers, Kolkata. I have also co-authored and published a book on Communication Skills. My research interests are in the fields of Comparative Studies, Translation Studies and Gender Studies.
