She is Professor at Manavlok College of Social Work, Ambajogai Dist. Beed since 2003, she has been in the field of teaching. She was awarded a Ph.D. in Social Work 2010 at present 8 Ph.D. students have been awarded under her Guidance.
She worked as the Director of Research Centre in Manavlok Social Work College and had completed three major research projects and one minor research project funded by ICSSR New Delhi, Marathwada Development Board Aurangabad and State Women’s Commission respectively. She was being elected as a member of the Academic Council of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Maharashtra.
Three books ‘Perspectives of Women in Social Development’, ‘Gendering Violence’ and Marathi book ‘Stree Atmabhan te sksharmikaran ek pravas’. More than fifty research articles have been published in national and international journals, seminars, and conferences. She edited a Marathi book and many articles published in Marathi newspapers and monthly periodicals.
She has been associated with Manavlok’s Manaswini Women’s project since 2009 and voluntarily works as a project director under which the Gender Equality Program is being implemented with the support of Swiss aid India. Field action projects like BAIF, Pune & Yashaswini Samajik Abhiyan, Nashik, and Save Indian Farmers successfully completed.
She has felicitated with the prestigious award for social contribution by IBN Lokmat Award, lokshahi news channel. She is a member of various task force in Beed district. Currently, she works at grassroots level to address issues of farm windows, women sugarcane cutters who had gone for hystactomies, women labourers in construction sites, child marriages etc. Her area of interest are Women Empowerment, Gender Equality, Women Labourers and agriculture and actively working in the same field.
